After completing both projects 1 and 2, I initially felt that project 3 was going to carry the same writing orientated characteristic that the two previous projects had. After discussing more and more of project 3 in class, it came to my understanding that this project did not necessarily have to be writing based like the previous projects. Heck, I probably don’t even need to open a word document for this one. This made me feel relief, but then Mat told us to check out his past classes work and see how they approached project 3. I took a look at Nicholas Cerbone’s wixsite and noticed how clean the layout of his class work was. This definitely made me want to change my layout and work on my site some more. I took a look at Nicholas’ project 3 page to see what genres he used. He used a poster, a twitter page, and an email for his project that focused on the community of FSU’s pre-med students. I see how he also tied all three of those genres together as a way to advertise to the pre-med students and create a community where everyone can share anything pertaining to their major. I could see that the connection with the genres and the community is important for this project to be successful, so that is what I will be focusing on to achieve.
