The Bedford Book of Genres is full of great tips and it truly assists me as I approach these tedious writing projects. I’m not a huge fan of writing, so I enjoy reading about ways to specifically help me with my current writing assignments. While revising and fixing my Project 1 paper, I found that chapter 9 was a perfect chapter in teaching me how to correctly revise my work. Chapter 9 focused on revising and remixing work. It helped me look at ways to correct my writing though observation and peer review. Thankfully Mat allowed us to peer review today, which allowed an outside perspective to give an idea of what to fix or add in my writing. I felt that it was all perfect timing, and all this allowed me to confidently revise my writing since all the information from today, and this chapter, was fresh in my mind. What I love about chapter 9 is that they even included an example of a revising an example piece of writing, which acted as a guide for me when revising my own. Revising ones work is extremely important since it can significantly improve ones writing. I now feel that the structure in my writing is much more solid after my revision.
